I think it's time for me to update my webpage (ya think?) I haven't decided exactly what I'm going to do with it yet (if anything), but it's clearly become quite stagnant at this point, and privacy is much more important these days.

So here's the deal. I HAD updated this webpage at some point, at least a little bit, but in shuffling things around, I can see that that update somehow got lost and the older version has been up for quite some time. It may have happened when I switched web hosts.

Shorpy.com is a new discovery for me and I've spent HOURS perusing the site. It contains vintage photos, most of which seem to be from the early 1900s, but it goes from the 1850s through the 1960s. Most of the photos are very high quality black and white. They are obtained mostly from the Library of Congress and enlarged quite a bit if you click on the link to see the enlargement. THAT is where the fascinating part happens. The details in some of the photos is FANTASTIC. The objects of the photos are people, places, buildings, cars, airplanes, animals, WWI, WWII, Civil War and various other slices of life.
